So I interpret this as you saying: "This book hasn't been this great so far. Why does Ed keep pushing it?" I thought the end was great, but if you didn't find the "Jemma gets her powers and heals everyone" section spectacular, you might be ultimately disappointed by the novel. I loved it though.

This is a bit of a late comment for this post, but I'm about 60 pages from the end of The Children's Hospital and am getting very anxious. I'm expecting something spectacular must be coming.

One more:

No mention of Akron/Family's "Love Is Simple"? It's a messiah of an album. A sheep in wolf's clothing. A trance-inducing freak out fun-splosion.

I'll just go ahead and nominate here in the comments section.

My contribution: Most-read books on NYC subways: Eugenides - Middlesex, Zadie Smith - White Teeth, Ishiguro - Never Let Me Go, Bulgakov - Master and Margarita. I swear I see at least 5 people a week reading these books. I haven't read any of them.

Why haven't I heard of The Children's Hospital? It's in the queue, for sure.

Also: Tracy Morgan!

Thanks for the list, man!
