Eco is a thick read. I’d hope Misreadings is a short piece. Just being completely selfish here. (If I were to buy one of his right now.) My head swims for weeks after reading him.

The Eco is slim—it’s a collection of parodic “stories” that function more like essays. It’s actually pretty light reading.

War & War is amazing; if you like it, I also can’t recommend The Melancholy of Resistance enough.

I saw it used and snapped it up—I don’t know if I ‘ll get to it anytime soon. A couple of years ago I found all of Barry Hannah’s books used at the store where I have lots of book credit, and I only picked up one; I still regret it.
