Are you banning me for what I said yesterday about Polanski?

No. Uh, I guess you had some trouble commenting?

Seems OK now. I know I have spyware on this desktop.

Hang on, did you try to comment on the Auster post? I didn’t even get the comment—for the record, all comments are approved automatically unless they have excessive links, which a software program catches. So if you tried to post last night, it just didn’t come through—I didn’t censor it or ban it or not approve it or something. I just didn’t get it.

Yes it was on the Auster post and it was excessively long. I can go see now if it is there. If not so be it. I don’t have the energy to do it over.

OK now it’s working for me. I said – the 3rd time – that it’s sad to see Carlin losing his edge. Seinfeld, “They are here to replace you.”
Baudrillard, “Children are carrying the virus of the future.”

Hurray for Carlin. He was one of the greats. Thanks for the clips.

George Carlin is my favorite comedian of all time, and I’m glad I had the chance to meet him and see him perform before he died. He was a true genius and his brilliant observations are just as fresh and entertaining today as they ever were.

In a more traditional society he would be a wise elder and given the privilege of teaching the children.
