To be clear—I don’t control the content ads at all; what you see is based on your own browsing history. I have an ad blocker installed on my browser, but when I look at the site on a different browser I usually see ads for couches.

Google adblocker and try one of those. If you are fortunate enough to have a Mac, try 1BlockerX. Start with every thing enabled, and deselect progressively until you get the features you want. The ads ruin the overall aesthetic of the site, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles these days. Apple is getting cheaper, too. They keep putting a bargain e-book seller in Junk, because they don’t like the competition.
