Yeah, that’s just weird. Great scene in the novel, but there’s something creepy about this. Also, Wallace’s dialog doesn’t work at all when spoken like this…

I think it’s cool someone tried it using the xtranormal software–and I also think the scene is a pretty good one to illustrate–but it just doesn’t work. I guess I just imagine them lying down in the dark in the scene. And Mario’s not a girl. And they’re not pigs or dogs or whatever the fuck those xtranormal things are. Still, an interesting attempt.

All I know is that has to be one of my favorite lines from the novel: “I have administrative bones to pick with God, Boo. I’ll say God seems to have a kind of laid-back management style I’m not crazy about. I’m pretty much anti-death. God looks by all accounts to be pro-death. I’m not seeing how we can get together on this issue, he and I, Boo.”
