3. This reminds me of James Wood’s takedown of Tom Wolfe’s BACK TO BLOOD. Wood is so predicatble. And dogmatic. Always railing at the literary Gods. “This is not how people speak!” No shit, James; it’s how Tom Wolfe speaks. “Life is not a stage!” Keep telling yourself that, Big Boy.
