Pity it stopped. I was enjoying that. Floating Weeds is probably my favorite Ozu film.

This is how I came to understand Ozu! :) And, a while ago, Ebert’s commentary also unlocked the genius of Citizen Kane. I wish I could have sat in on one of is “Democracy in the Dark” / shot/scene-at-a-time analyses at Colorado…. :(
