Thank you! Paul Delvaux was one of the reasons I fell in love with Modern European Art and eventually pursued it in grad school. I was 18 and in a special exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio I saw a couple of his paintings with naked, ghost-like women in pink satin bows. Soon after I shifted my degree from literature to art history and eventually wrote about Humor, wit and irony on Belgian Surrealism. My love affair with Delvaux was equivalent to a short marriage, but very good while it lasted. I am still very fond of him and I believe he deserves to be better studied. Good work, it’s been a pleasure to follow your blog.
