Beautiful woodcut. I saw a documentary on him once in St. Louis where they have 2 great movie theaters – Tivoli and Fronenac. How sad to watch him sorting mail into cubby holes in the post office and his fear that he couldn’t continue to do it fast enough as he depended on that job.

anyone in LA on 6/30 should attend a tribute I’ve organized to Bukowski. It’ll happen at the Grand Performances stage downtown. I’ll have a number of people that knew him one way or another read his poems and share stories and some of their own work
