It is a picture of a woman sitting holding a book while reading it and dressed in a robe. It was done by Pablo Picasso, a Spanish artist who is no longer alive. How does she feel about what she is reading? What is she reading? Did she ever see that book before?

Not just any woman — that’d be Olga Khokhlova Picasso, former dancer in Diaghilev’s ballet company.
