1. Curious … on some sites they identify the fellow on the left as Ernst Weiß. There’s even one version of the image where someone has photoshopped in Brod’s head from a different picture.
   Damned if I know though — there aren’t many good pics of Weiß online. Might be Stalin or Groucho Marx for all I can tell.

   I’m happy to see this picture; happy to see Kafka happy!

2. Now that you mention it, it does look like a photoshopped head.
   Personally I think it’s Freddy Mercury.
