Kenneth Patchen, I didn’t think I’d ever meet anyone (well- actaully we haven’t met) who knows of this remarkable writer. Right here on my desk I have his selected poems. My favourite being “Do the dead know what time it is?” My copy is from New Directions Paperbacks too – $1.50 about 30 years ago here in a UK 2nd hand book shop.
