May I know woman reading is such a recurring theme to you?

I had been posting paintings of people reading every now and then, but a few years ago (2 or 3?) I started posting a painting of someone reading (or a still life with book/books, or a library) every day. Women reading is a fairly prevalent theme in art, moreso than men reading (reading gives the model something to do as the painter is painting).

Apart from the very pragmatic consideration keeping the woman engaged in reading while she is being painted, perhaps the painter thought that reading empowered woman? Thank you for the reply.

When is the politicization of all art going to end? I prefer statement of form and shape and shade and shadow and light and texture and depth to some hidden or overt message.
