“His Face All Red” — Em Carroll

“His Face All Red” is a lovely, disturbing little self-contained webcomic by Em Carroll. Fratricide, an American gothic setting, and a horrifyingly ambiguous conclusion: what’s not to love? Read it here.

  1. Very intriguing tale! I followed the link and read the entire story. Carroll does a great job of creating atmosphere, which is no small feat. The pace is well done to build a rising threat of gloom, paranoia, and the supernatural. I sympathized with the main character, to even my own wonderment – after all he does dark deeds in the shadows. Also, the stylized art allows us to focus on the action and movement, making the story just flow.
