   This excites me very much. We need to get the people who did this film to do a halfway decent on one Bukowski. The two made about him totally suck.

     Robert, are you referencing Barfly and Factotum? They were both pretty bad, although Factotum had a few funny moments. Have you seen the documentary about him, Born into This? It’s not bad. There are actually a few adaptations of his work by various European directors too.

   MF Doom recently (a year or two ago) sampled Bukowski reading his poetry on the Born Like This lp.

   Barfly wasn’t so bad.
