I wish I’d met him. Sheesh, what bad luck to live in the 21st century. Thanks for showing this to so many — he lives! Some recent biographies are pretty good and evocative of his times/age, although he was as a writer and a personality — soooo American and cunning and clever about lauding our best traits and calling out our worst– I re-read Huck Finn every summer, still laugh myself silly and groan each time–he was for all ages as far as I’m concerned Thumbs up! Great post
